At this location there is an old mineral spring. In the 19th century a bathhouse had been built here, later on an additional hotel, a park, a small chapel and two ponds. They even got a telegraph station in Bad Boll! In 1894, the whole site was bought by the “Bad Boll Fishing Club-Limited London” since after all the Wutach is full of the world-famous Black Forest trouts.

During the First World War Tourism completely came to a halt. From 1918 to 1960 Bad Boll was used as house for conferences and, in 1972, the site was transformed into a hospital. However, in 1975, parts of the hospital burnt down and the site was subsequently abandoned. The state of Baden-Württemberg eventually bought the site and in 1991 the complete site was dismantled and levelled down. Only the little chapel remained.
