It's been 20 years and 5 days since I stood on this very spot to shoot my previous panorama (Clutter's Cave) on the theme of "Sanctuary". From here it looks like almost nothing has changed, with the only noticeable difference being the camera used.

When re-visiting a previous panorama, you're meant to be able to see change that has occurred, something that this new panorama seems to be lacking in. While the world outside has continued, this little stone hide-away inside it looks almost identical, maybe something that its original inhabitants craved for.

While trees may have come and gone outside and paths become more trodden, the overall view has changed little for millennia, well apart from the construction of a stone obelisk seen in the distance. The biggest change between panoramas is the equipment used to shoot, resulting in a clearer view.

Equipment

Taken with a Nikon D300 and a Nikkor 10.5mm f/2.8G fisheye lens. Mounted on a Nodal Ninja 5 panorama head and R-D16 rotator atop a Manfrotto 055XPROB tripod. 9 bracketed shots (-4 -3 -2 -1 0 +1 +2 +3 +4) taken at 6 positions 60°  apart, tilted 15° down, and another shot taken looking straight up. Raw files then processed in darktable v4.8.1 before being stitched together using PTGui 10.0.19 Pro and converted using Pano2VR 6.1.15 pro.
