It's been 20 years, 9 months and 4 days since I stood on this very spot to shoot my previous panorama (The Malvern Hills) as part of "The Original WWP". This was always on my list to re-shoot as it was my submission to the World Wide Panorama having previously participated in the final Wrinkle in Times for the Millennium.
When reflecting on things you've done, it's always good to go back and look at where you started, to acknowledge the progress you've made. Sometime things you do seem easy to you, but that wasn't always the case. Time and effort would have been spent getting to that point. Back then I was using some basic equipment and software but still able to create 360° views.
Again up here on the top of the Malvern Hills little has changed with the footpath still winding its way around the hills on its way to the highest point. If you know where you're looking down on Malvern there has been some change but again little. After all these years, I still consider myself very lucky to be able to live in and take panoramas of such a wonderful place.
Taken with a Nikon D300 and a Nikkor 10.5mm f/2.8G fisheye lens. Mounted on a Nodal Ninja 5 panorama head and R-D16 rotator atop a Manfrotto 055XPROB tripod. 3 bracketed shots (-1 0 +1) taken at 6 positions 60° apart, tilted 15° down, and another shot taken looking straight up. Raw files then processed in darktable v4.8.1 before being stitched together using PTGui 10.0.19 Pro and converted using Pano2VR 6.1.15 pro.
