Why do we exist? Why are we born, and did we exist before? Why will we die, and will we still exist after death? We often turn to the sky for answers to these existential questions whether for religious reasons or for scientific ones as is the case here at the Meudon Observatory, founded in 1876 by Jules Janssen, an astronomer and member of the French Academy of Sciences. From the terrace one can enjoy a truly magnificent view of Paris. I dedicate this panorama to my childhood friend, Jean-Marc, and to his partner, Juliette.
