At the bank of this sometimes wild mountain stream a pilgrimage church was erected around the year 1700 close to three fountains described as having holy qualities - the Three Holy Wells of Trafoi. You can see a huge contrast between the friendly place around the church and the wild nature around: what looks like a broad stream bed is filled up with coarse gravel and cobble. It's a view that demonstrates the power of water. According to literature the masses of debris are instead the result of intense rainfall in 2012. The event is described as being connected with the effects of the climate change that we can experience in different ways in the Alps.
