Horseshoe Falls and Table Rock

Last November a couple of our neighbors suggested that we attend the Shaw Festival in Niagara-on-the-Lake in Ontario, Canada with them this September. The Shaw Festival produces and presents the work of George Bernard Shaw (1856-1950) and playwrights writing anywhere in the world during, or about, the era of Shaw’s lifetime. We saw four plays: Misalliance, Trouble in Tahiti, Present Laughter, and Ragtime. All were superbly presented with Ragtime being a special treat. We are thinking of going again next year. Never having been in the area, we decided to stay in Niagara Falls on the Canadian side and do the tourist routine since it is only a scenic 12 mile commute to Niagara-on-the-Lake. We went on the Maid of the Mist, Behind-the-Falls, the Whitewater Walk, saw the Fury of Niagara film, and scaled the Skylon Tower that overlooks the falls. Our return was scheduled for Saturday, September 15 on the day shooting for the WWP began.

Thinking that next to air, water was the top necessity for life, I decided that Niagara Falls would be a great panorama to represent the necessity of water. I got up early and walked to the falls to take a series of three panoramas before we left for home. I selected the third one and put the others on my website - see the link below.
