San Pedro is an important town on east side of San Jose and is where commerce and universities have a crossroads. This 360º photo was shot in Plaza del Sol in a very developed area close to the most important campus for multiple private and public universities. Two of the most relevant study centers are the University of Costa Rica and Universidad Latina.
The University of Costa Rica (in Spanish, Universidad de Costa Rica, abbreviated UCR) is a public university in the Republic of Costa Rica, in Central America. Its main campus, Ciudad Universitaria Rodrigo Facio, is located in San Pedro, in the province of San José. It is the oldest, largest, and most prestigious institution of higher learning in Costa Rica. Approximately 39,000 students attend UCR throughout the year.
Latin University of Costa Rica (Spanish: Universidad Latina), commonly called ULatina, is a private university located in Costa Rica. The university has several campuses around Costa Rica, although the main campus is located in San Pedro, in San José.
