Sport is all about energy - energy that is focused, both mentally and physically. The movement created during the execution of the golf swing is efficient and deceptively easy looking because the best golf swings minimize or eliminate unnecessary motion reducing the possibility of any power leaks. The result is a rhythmical and smooth motion which is a pleasure to watch.
We are viewing a golfer (Robert Neal) wearing sensors - each strapped to a selected anatomical landmark (head, hip, hand etc.) - that measure the positions of his body relative to each other during the swing . This information is fed into a computer which helps us evaluate, based on data previously collected, that golfer's energy quotient. The computer beeps when the optimal body position has been achieved while he swings the club. This provides the golfer with the helpful feedback he needs to fine tune his swing.
The goal - to deliver all the energy created in the coiling and uncoiling of the body's core to the ball, through the club, via the hands in a controlled predefined fashion. Years of training are required to reach optimal performance. Dr. Robert Neal and Karen Harrison, pictured above, help golfers achieve their full energy/power potential with computer software Dr. Neal has developed after years of study and research in biomechanics.
