I'm told the top speed is 17 miles per hour, and the car (with 2 drivers) has two-thirds horsepower. The car draws a lot of attention, including from the cops who took a while to warm up to the idea of this being on the road. To be technical, the car is not oxygen powered, but human powered, and we need to eat to generate the energy; hence the bananas on the table, which in turn grow from the sun. Much quicker of a cycle time than with fossil fuels.
Click on the car in the pano above and you can view a fullscreen pano taken from the drivers seat.
Stephen is a former SCAD student (Savannah College of Art and Design) who now creates tricycles which he can ship anywhere in the country (http://www.haleytrikes.com). He also drives a pedicab at night; don't worry, the pedicab passengers are not required to pedal.
