Haunting Echoes: The Witch Trials Chamber

Delve into the chilling panorama of the old Freising prison's torture chamber, a grim testament to Freising's tragic witch trials from 1715 to 1723. A chilling assortment of torture tools lay scattered around a central table, stark symbols of a time when fear dictated justice and the Church wielded the gavel.

The panorama encapsulates the haunting aura of the 'Hexenturm' or 'Witch Tower', infamous for the trials of children accused of witchcraft. A cross and a Bible eerily contrast the room's sinister undertone, hinting at the Church's involvement in the horrifying proceedings.
