The west facade of the building has 1,084 unique glass panels. The futuristic crystalline egg shaped orb is located in the center of Canada's capital city.
The structure is based on a free form edge clamped glass system. This unique building combines form, function, efficiency, and architectural ingenuity.
Panning right we see my bike, the Mackenzie King Bridge, boats moored along the Rideau Canal a UNESCO World Heritage Site. the National Arts Centre, in the distance the Peace Tower on Parliament Hill, the sun setting between the poplar trees and finally the Westin Hotel.
It had rained every day for the past week, I was lucky to get a brief moment of clear skies to ride my bike over to get this shot. Next day rain again.
