This panorama shows the current construction site in the historic center of Frankfurt am Main. The historic center of Frankfurt am Main was heavily damaged in World War II. After the war the reconstruction was mainly done without any reference to the destroyed buildings. After demolishing one large building the current reconstruction tries to cite and reference the historic buildings which were destroyed in the war.On an old WWP contribution from 2007 you can still see the large concrete building, which is now completely gone.
Making Of
The shooting was done with a 6 meter (appx. 20 ft) pole to reach a more elevated viewpoint. The lens was mounted with a custom-made bracket. Stitched from five images taken with a Walimex (Samyang) 7.5mm fish eye lens on a Sony QX1. Four images around and an additional image for the nadir. The zenith was retouched by hand in post-processing.
