The watermills have been among the first machines used by human beings, exploiting one of the few natural energy resources: the fall of the water. The Watermill presented in this 360 Photo produced flour since 1672 and it has been property of the same family for almost 400 years. Located in the small mountain village of Baresi, the mill is immersed in a beautiful clearing in the Italian Prealpi not far from Bergamo, Lombardy. The old building contains also a complete set of farmer's ancient tools.
Recently the mill has been restructured by FAI, Fondo Ambiente Italiano, the Italian National Trust for protecting and promoting Italian historic and artistic heritage.

L'antico Mulino di Baresi, Bergamo
I mulini ad acqua sono stati tra le prime macchine usate dall'uomo, in grado di sfruttare una delle poche energie naturali facilmente disponibili: la caduta dell'acqua.La macina di questo mulino ha prodotto farina dal 1672 ed è stato di proprietà della stessa famiglia Gervasoni per quasi 400 anni. Situato nel piccolo borgo montano di Baresi, frazione di Roncobello - Bergamo, è immerso in una piacevole radura nelle Prealpi Orobiche. L'edificio contiene anche numerosi antichi strumenti contadini tra cui un torchio per la spremitura delle noci da cui si ricavava l'olio.
Recentemente il Mulino di Baresi è stato ristrutturato dai FAI, Fondo Ambiente Italiano, la Fondazione nazionale che ha salvato, restaurato e aperto al pubblico importanti testimonianze del patrimonio artistico e naturalistico italiano.
