Shiny Jet Syndrome, or SJS, is an affliction of pilots who will do almost anything to get the opportunity to fly a jet. My personal desire is to make a living flying anything and have a great time doing it - being able to do it in a jet is just a nice addition. That's found me here at San Francisco International Airport in a Canadair Regional Jet CRJ-700.

I earned my private pilot certificate in 1996. In early 2008 I embarked on a career as a professional pilot and took a panorama for the WWP in the cockpit of my training airplane. In 2009 I was working as a flight instructor and flying reporters over the Bay Area to report on traffic on the highways.

Since I acquired my certificates and ratings I've taught people how to fly, flown air tours, flown news and traffic reporters, transported dogs from overcrowded shelters to places with families to adopt them, done search and rescue, and aerial survey. In 2012 I secured a job as a first officer for a regional airline. I now fly from the right seat of 50-76 passenger jets all over the United States and in to many cities in Canada.

This is my current office, between flights on a trip that took me from Kansas City to Dallas to Eugene to San Francisco.
