It seems apparent that life was ultimately sparked by particles travelling on comets coming from outer space and falling down on Earth, and then it spread all over it. That's our greatest heritage, the one we should preserve best for our sons and daughters to enjoy.I'd like to think that Pat Swovelin, who was part of the people in front of the WWP team, a man of great wisdom and humour, would have laughed at this idea of life coming down to Earth just the way he liked best to arrive to: parachuting. But he did not give us the time to know.

Parece ser que gracias a las partículas orgánicas traídas por los cometas helados que viajan por el sistema solar la vida brotó finalmente en el planeta Tierra, donde floreció a continuación. Ella constituye lo mejor de la herencia que hemos recibido y que deberíamos transmitir para que la disfruten nuestros hijos e hijas.
Quiero creer que Pat Swovelin, que formó parte del equipo al frente del WWP, hombre de gran humor y amplios conocimientos, se hubiese reído con esta idea de la vida que llega a la tierra precisamente del modo que más le gustaba hacerlo a él: en paracaídas. Pero no nos ha dejado tiempo para saberlo.
