The USS Ling is a 312-foot-long, Balao-class WW II submarine, that is permanently berthed in Hackensack, NJ. The Ling was the last of the fleet submarines that patrolled the American coastline during World War II. She was manned by a crew of 10 officers and 65 men. The control room serves as the control center for submerged operations. Remote controls and indicators used for diving, surfacing, and submerged operations as well as navigation and electrical systems are centrally located here.

The Ling's current home is the New Jersey Navel Museum in Hackensack, NJ, she is open to the public for tours. You can learn more about the Ling and the New Jersey Naval Museum here.
