Well known as Cycling routes in Sabotin area, just above the river Soča, were an important bulwark in the defense of Gorizia and the Gorizia bridgehead. The trails are thus steep for the most part and scattered with traces from the First World War. Sabotin, Sveta Gora, Škabrijel... these are the three pock-marked mountains which sustained heavy shelling.
