On June 19 I made a panoramic study of wavelengths from red to violet, from the bottom to the top of the sphere, from few long red, through increasingly shorter and higher frequency middle of the spectrum orange through yellow, green, blue green and blue, to violet and magenta rounding the color wheel. Which would return to red in a following color sphere. Spinning the sphere gives the feeling of raising vibrations of colored light.
On June 21 I raised vibrations as part of
Solstice in Times Square, New York City. It was a day-long, dawn-to-dusk yoga fest (event) titled "Mind Over Madness", featuring classes, tips, and sitar music on open land between 46th, 47th, 7th Ave. and Broadway. I took the Bikram Yoga class from 12 noon to 1:30 in the afternoon. Usually this is done in a heated room but here the hot summer weather helped.
Just before class started, I took 17 photos, handheld. Some people did preparatory exercises, some meditated, some relaxed. From the photos I created a cylindrical panorama and added it to the vibe study, showing a specific context for raising vibrations.
Doing yoga elevates physical ability, mental control, and spiritual awareness. My personal performance was a surprise. Most poses were new twists on familiar ones, but my body went into them more easily than usual. Also I held the poses and stayed balanced longer than usual. Was my level raised by the group intention? It seemed like I was elevated by the yoga event.
After the class, South Korean TV (KBS) interviewers asked me about being the oldest person there (73 years old). They wondered how the crowds and chaos of this urban crossroads affected me. I said that the focus of yoga creates a harmonious inner state where I am aware of the surroundings but not distracted by them. I was affected by the yoga practitioners but New York city didn't bother me at all. It must have been energizing.
Here are some details from the panorama.
Banner - the ancient Sanskrit symbol for OM, the primal sound, over ‘Yoga,’ meaning union, announced this event.
Sitar player - ancient Indian music played between sessions deepened the mood and provided a context within the din of the noisy city. However, it couldn't compete with sirens of police and ambulance vehicles. I wish I had recorded this mix of sounds. Can you imagine it?
Observers - lined the streets on all sides.
Vibe shapes float over the photographs integrating the inner with the outer view. For my use of “vibe shapes” see the cross-references link. Many people see the rainbow colors in human chakras or energy centers (see graphic with red at root and Rainbow Body links). As you spin the panorama, imagine your feet or sitting position at the base and the top of your head at the peak or top.
