Evening in Meredith's Garden
Merry Oaks Neighborhood, Charlotte, North Carolina, USA
June 24, 2006 | 8:09 p.m. EDT (GMT -4)
What better garden to share with the world than the one in my own back yard?
Meredith Hebden, my spouse and partner, spends hours maintaining the collection of native and exotic plants she's created over the past five years.
The garden attracts insects, birds, reptiles and mammals. She calls it "Benign Neglect Gardens". She's created this not only for pleasure, but for art's sake as well.
Art, you say? Meredith is a gifted photographer as well as horticulturist.
Take a look at her work, and I think you'll agree: http://www.laughingearth.com. More of my panoramics and other photographic work are here: http://www.garyobrien.com
