This is from Ravnedalen, one of Norways most beautiful and dramatic parks. This pano was shot just after several days of rain - that's why there are so many flower petals on the ground.
It was built by a general, Oscar Wergeland (whose bronze shoulders and head is seen in the pano), who used his soldiers to build it (what a wonderful use of soldiers :).
The house in the background is a restaurant, and there are often concerts either there or on a stage up the little path. The small houses in the water are for the swans.
The steep cliff is about 100m vertical, with a steep path and stairs clinging to its edge all the way to the top. Magnificent view from the top!There are also darker spots in the history of the Ravens valley - in 1967 a young girl (16) was killed in the park by her mentally disturbed girlfriend. And in 2000 two young girls (8 and 10) were raped and killed by two young men in the hills surrounding the park. A really horrible story which filled the news all over Norway for several months until they were finally caught...

The wet paw footprints on the bridge are all that's left of my dog in this pano, who always tries to be in front of the 185 degree fov lens. It always takes some effort to retouch her out from my panos... ;)
