1000 Years of Inhabitation
"The Taos Pueblo is the only living Native American community designated both a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and a US National Historic Landmark. The multi-storied adobe buildings have been continuously inhabited for over 1000 years." Official Taos Pueblo Site

These Drying racks are located in the Pueblo Plaza and are used seasonally to dry corn, meats and berries. The dome-shaped adobe structure is called a Horn, and is used to bake bread. A fire is built using cedar, reduced to ash and removed; bread is then placed inside and baked to perfection.
