In 2015 Frankfurt Airport was serving 61 million passengers and 2.1 million metric tons of cargo tonnage.

On the high-speed railway nearby an InterCityExpress to Cologne is just passing by. The connection Cologne-Frankfurt was used by 32,000 passengers per day in 2007.
