The bridge arch element fabrication started January 2012 and by 24 March 2013 appear to be ready. The arch fabrication was performed concurrent with the new bridge structural and utility construction. Each precast arch took 1 month to complete. The 12 arch elements sit waiting to be transported to the 7th Street Bridge Site. After installation, the original bridge will be demolished.

Each precast arch is 163 feet long and 24 feet high 49.7 / 7.3 meters and weighs 300 tons or 272 Metric Tons. The arch height is about 4 times the height of a 6 foot tall person. There will be about 300,000 pounds or 136,077 kilograms of polished stainless steel within the arches and bridge superstructure. The arch steel was post tensioned during fabrication.
