There is rarely any useful distance scale on modern DSLR lenses. Many just show a minuscule transparent plastic window where some digits are barely visible and that are designed to be simply useless. No way to determine the depth of field or the hyper-focal distance with such a pitiful tool. Preference by the users for auto-focusing is the pretext taken by lens manufacturers to not provide a good scale that remains an essential feature for the serious photographers...

Here you may view a typical distance scale from the 1960's that is engraved on the side of one of the cheapest lens that I ever owned. Even-though it is not laser carved, it's still much better designed than those of today!

BTW It's up to you to decide what is the exterior and the interior of the object that is presented in this panorama...

NN Rotator mounted on top of a on a tripod was used as a turntable to shoot 144 images (i.e. 2.5° angular spacing)

EF 100-400 mm to shoot top and bottom of object.

Tap or click the zoom icon in the bottom right corner of the picture to switch between in-page and fullscreen view
With the mouse you can also right click and choose "Fullscreen"

Use the links in the green menu bar at the top
Slide the dotted area in the info header to the left or right
Use the left/right arrows at the sides of the panorama (if visible)
