What you see here is a unique building, the first of it's kind in Europe. You might think it's some sort of modern office block or some posh apartments but you'd be wrong, it's a library.

The Hive, as its been named, is a collaboration between Worcestershire County Council and the University of Worcester to create a combined facility that's accessible to the whole community. The building is large enough to fit in 12 miles of archived collections, a quarter of a million books and 800 study places.

The panorama was shot on the edge of their outside reading island, an area only reachable through the library itself, a perfect place for a summers read. The library was having an open day with people able to see what the inside of the building looked like after watching the outside slowly grow. The building itself provides some very striking views at sunset with the metal cladding being bathed in the light of the setting sun.
