The location of the theater of Taormina opens great views on the sea and the vulcano Etna (on clear days). The theater was first constructed by the Greeks, and later reconstructed by the Romans. Today the ruins are used as fantastic stage for performances and concerts. Taormina is on the tentative list of UNESCO world heritage sites.
