As a biologist I found it very interesting to learn that a small but significant portion of Neanderthal DNA admixture is present in modern non-African populations. So where has the Neanderthal man gone? At least some of his DNA has survived in the cells of all non-Africans among us.
During my last visit to the Museum in Neander valley I shot this panorama that somehow reminded me of the results of the Neanderthal genome project. The gentleman to the left is a model of a Neanderthal man. The gentleman to the right I was not introduced to.
