In a forest of conifers, planted and protected to yield economically in a period as short as possible, still survive some of the latest maple, other times covered these mountains. Together with other species (Ilex aquifolium, Fraximus oxycarpa, Juniperus sabina, Crataegus monogyna) without economic value. They are the last survivors of the ancient forest.
