This is a nice little cove just 7 streets down from Hacketts Cove proper. The coordinates are for the village, about a kilometer to the north of the area pictured. The whole coast of Nova Scotia is varied and just breathtaking, and I didn't see anything like this, so I had to stop to photograph the area.

Though Hacketts Cove doesn't lay in a wilderness area or protected area, the whole of the coastline is indeed a forest of great variety including gentle spruce, beech, hearty pine, old hemlock and wild apple trees. Just inland from here a large expanse is in process of reaching protected status in the form of the Five Bridge Lakes Wilderness Area.
