This trail leads up to the Chamonna Lischana, a cabin of the swiss alpin club, at 2500 m altitude. In the lower parts of the trail you walk through woods, comprising larch trees (Larix decidua Mill., L. europaea DC.) that are typical for the southern alpin valleys in Switzerland (see also my contribution "Larch wood in autumn"), mixed above all with spruce (picea abies Karst), swiss pine (pinus cembra L.), mountain pine (pinus mugo Turra var. arborea, tubeuf P. montana Mill.).
