According to the Hebrew flood myth, rainbows are a divine reminder that there will be no second deluge: a sign of hope in the best of cases, or a grim "it could have been worse" wry comment otherwise.
As hard winds blow and the tides reportedly seem on their way to turn these days, let's keep hope alive.

(I shot another rainbow at this location back in 2005. I called it 'The Lightest Bridge' and included it with a small collection of pics taken during the same period as an accompaniment to my "Bridges" contribution. The time schedules for shooting were then more reduced than they are now, and that is the reason why that pic, shot in August, could not be part of the Event).
