Onaping High Falls (also known as Onaping Falls or just High Falls), is located at the edge of Sudbury Basin, an ancient meteorite crater, about 40 km west of Sudbury. This waterfalls cascade (about 150 feet total drop) is easily accessed by highway #144 and is one of the best and largest waterfalls in the Lake Huron area. The spot is well known because of A. Y. Jackson, the member artist of famous Group of Seven, who memorialized the view of the falls on his canvas.
