Unfinished railway tunnel from WWI
Near Godovič, about 35 km WSW of Ljubljana
August 25, 2015; 11:40 local daylight saving time (13:40 UTC)
On a day excursion out of the city we visited some great sites, caves and also an unfinished tunnel from WWI. There, Boštjan introduced us to the light-painting technique for taking panoramas in pitch dark places, that he had developed to perfection (as you can see looking at many of Boštjan's contributions to the world wide panoramas). We all got the opportunity to try it out ourselves. Here you see the result of my first – and so far only – light-painted panorama. It was a great experience.
More information and panoramas in this tunnel can be found here. Please also have a look at Jürgen Matern’s contribution that was taken during the same excursion, in a cave with a challenging light situation.
