The historic Sparks Street Mall in downtown Ottawa is the venue for many unique events throughout the year.

Rib Fest in June is the most popular event with 1,000s of people comming down for the ribs and chicken.

From May till October Artisit Alley showcases local artists and artisans.

Friday nights during the summer is cruise night with an antique car show.

Weekends there during the summer there is a farmers market with locally grown products.

This year the annual free New Years Eve Capital Countdown will feature k-os as the headline act with as many as 20,000 people bringing in 2014.
