It's official name is the Queen Elizabeth II Great Court and it was designed by Sir Norman Foster. It covers two acres, making it the largest covered square in Europe. The roof consists of 3,312 panes of glass, no two of which are the same. The canopy was both designed and installed by computer. The project cost £100 million, and looks worth every penny. This area had not previously been accessible to the Public. The Atrium was opened on 6 December 2000 by Her Majesty the Queen.
It wasn't easy to do, especially as I shot freehand, but I'm quite pleased with how it came out. I hope people enjoy it.
