It's official name is the Queen Elizabeth II Great Court and it was designed by Sir Norman Foster. It covers two acres, making it the largest covered square in Europe. The roof consists of 3,312 panes of glass, no two of which are the same. The canopy was both designed and installed by computer. The project cost £100 million, and looks worth every penny. This area had not previously been accessible to the Public. The Atrium was opened on 6 December 2000 by Her Majesty the Queen.

It wasn't easy to do, especially as I shot freehand, but I'm quite pleased with how it came out. I hope people enjoy it.
A higher-res version (56MP vs. 32MP) is available here: http://www.viewat.org/?i=en&id_aut=7366&id_pn=23853&sec=pn

Equipment
Canon 5DmkII with 8-15mm lens at 12mm. Shot freehand, six shots used (would have been five but for my coffee cup I left on the ground). Raw processing in Lightroom 5 then stitched in PtGui Pro using SmartBlend. Neatened up in Photoshop CS6 (gotta love parallax errors).
