This year I got acquainted with a Hungarian fresco painter Zsolt Lencses, who lives now, for more than 15 years, in Italy, and made himself there pretty famous with his paintings all over Vatican and south-Italy, especially Calabria. He also developed an antique lime-based plaster. In 2009 he moved partially back here to Hungary and took various fresco-painting projects. Among these projects he had the idea of a fresco painting therapy in the prison of his hometown Balassagyarmat.

"With the management of our company the renovation of the monument chapel and prison in Hungary (built in 1842 based on the Jeremy Bentham principals) got into the next phase. The renovation of the walls and the hygienic treatment with CalcArt (antique lime plasters) have been finished. The walls got three lays of the antique lime plaster mixed with Granit and marble powder. In the meantime the participant prisoners also from other institutes created graphics, paintings, aquarelles in the theme of the selected paragraph of the Bible. A selected jury representing art, cultural heritage, church and the civil society selected the best piece of arts."

"The prisoners participated in the most active and creative part of the art therapy and the finest work of wall decoration together with the artist, fresco painter, Mr. Lencsés. The project was funded by the Norwegian Civil Fund and EEG Grant.

This panorama depicts the final phase right after the consecration. I took 3 sets during the renovation, and these will be linked together to form a timelapse panorama. For the timelapse panorama and other works of Mr. Lencses visit the website http://muzsart.hu
