Yosemite Valley wouldn't be famous without its spectacular views, of which it has many. However many of these views, the best ones in fact, you have to work for. After all, it is a VALLEY. You have two choices. A flat boring hiking trail, or an exciting trail that goes up, and UP, AND UP.

The hike to Yosemite Point on the Upper Yosemite Falls trail is no exception.

You start at 3,967 feet (1,347 meters) in the valley, you end at 6,936 feet (2,114 meters) at Yosemite Point.

You gain 2,969 feet (890 meters) in 4.2 miles (6.8 km).

There are harder hikes out of Yosemite Valley, but not many.

There are better views in Yosemite, but not many. This hike is well worth it. There are many amazing views all the way up.
