This pano, shot on Christmas day, shows the nativity scene of one of the largest "Living Bethlehem" in Spain. A Living Bethlehem is a rehearsal that tries to show a typical day in Bethlehem about 2008 years ago, this is, when the baby Jesus was born.
It has been performed at the
Hort del Xocolater, inside Elche’s Municipal Park (see
WWP306,
WWP905,
WWP904), for about 30 years and it is typical for families to go and visit it during the four days it opens for the Christmas holiday.
The rehearsal is organised by
Los Pobladores de Elche (
www.pobladoresdeelche.org). This is a local historic-artistic group that also organises other kind of recreational activities always related to ancient events.
