The picture describes the subject of this panorama: "Inside a whale".

The whale was dead for a long time when it stranded somewhere on the coast of the Netherlands. The students of a school (butchers in traning) had a very nasty job when they take off the flesh, organs etc of the skelet. You can imagine the smell on the beach.

When the skelet was clean they transported it to the water theme park WaterLand Neeltje Jans where the skelet is now on display to the visitors of the park.

I can assure you that is was a very strange experience for me standing there with all those bones around me and that is why I choose this panorama for the "Best of 2006" event.
