The Silverado Trail is my favorite route through the Northern California Wine Country.

This panorama was shot in what is known as the Stags Leap District of the Napa Valley on a clear late October morning when fall colors in the vineyards were near their peak.

The buildings in the photo belong to Chimney Rock Winery—wine tasting is in the white building. To the left you can see some vehicles parked in the vineyard near a tree. A crew is picking grapes in that section having recently harvested the wine grapes from the vines where we are standing.
