Whilst I don't believe this panorama has any special technical or artitstic merits, it is a personal favourite from the past year for many other reasons.

I particularly enjoy roof top views and they are sadly becoming rarer events for me with public liability fever. Photographing within 1m of the edge of a roof is now an even rarer event and photographing over the edge is definately out of the question (and for good reasons).

The weather was perfect with clear skies, little breeze and a pleasant upper 20°c temperature combined with the city views, a perfect day.

This shot was taken in March 2005 as part of a series for the building owners. I had previously photographed the building in 2003 during extensive renovations costing Au$30m. The building occupies one of the most sought after sites in the city and was once one of the city's tallest buildings, complete with an observation deck for public viewing.
