Castel Sant'Elmo is a medieval fortress located on Vomero Hill, overlooking Naples. Mount Vesuvius is located about 9 km east of Naples. It is one of several volcanoes forming the Campanian volcanic arc.
This panorama was taken during our travel in Italy in 2015. We rented a room in a hotel in Lucrino. In two weeks we managed to visit Amalfi, Caserta, Pozzuoli, Solfatara and Naples.
Let me introduce other panoramas taken in August 2015:
- Naples, Majolica Cloister of Santa Chiara
- Naples, Royal Palace of Capodimonte, Ballroom
- Caserta, Fountain of Aeolus
- Pozzuoli, Chiesa dell'Assunta a Mare
- Pozzuoli, Chiesa di san Raffaele Arcangelo
- Pozzuoli, Stairway
