What do I want to let you know about me?
I live in Australia, hate the process of traveling, but love visiting other places, countries and cultures. I've eaten escargot in Paris, and "shark bites" in the Caribbean, haggled with market stall owners in Bali and walked inside volcanos in New Zealand. With my family I've been around the world from west to east and if it weren't for the unpleasant nature of modern air travel I would do it again ...
But now I travel in virtual spaces, visiting places through the skills of my many friends in the VR community. Reading their stories and seeing things through their eyes is a far more personal if disembodied experience. It's almost as good as "being there", but without the airport security hoons, delays or lost luggage.
These days most of my photography is digital, although my collection of cameras and lenses, none of which I can bear to part with, goes way back to the days of roll film. I must confess to a hankering to dabble again in black and white, hand developed film some day too ... perhaps for a future WWP event.
