Have an education as a school teacher and is today working as parttime teachers and parttime pano-photographer.
Bought my first computer, an Amiga 500, in 1987 and was fascinated by computer animation and 3D-modelling.
Saw the first qtvr and wanted upgrade to a Mac - but it was too expensive at that time, so I ended up with a pc.
I made my first panorama by manually joining scanned photos in photoshop.
Later I used a video-camera spinning on a home made "motorhead" made from daughters old toy musicbox and stitched with the Jutvision Software. The software assempled a narrow slice from the middle of each frame of the videostream to a full 360 degree cylindrical pano.
I read an article by Lars R. Larsen in a danish photo magasin [Foto/Film & Video, no. 12 - 1992] about how to build your own round horizon camera from an old 120 camera - But I never got to build my own. Instead I bought a rather primitive Spinshot 35S, build on the same idea of spinning the camera while pulling the film past a small slice of light from the lens. I used it for my first panos on my project "
Virtual Tour Denmark", where you still can find some of these if you look for Bornholm.
Then I went on to standard 35 mm camera and a 8mm Peleng lense and the software Photovista and later on Panotools/Ptgui. When I got my first big commercial order
http://www.dkbs.dk and had to make +500 panos in 4 month I had to go digital - the scanning would have been too time consuming. So I got me a Nikon 995 and a Fisheye lens.
And just in time for the first wwp in 2004 my old Peleng found it's way back and was put on my new Nikon D70 dslr.
