Favourite Place – I must admit, I have had my problems with this theme. I do not have one single favourite place. There are so many great and interesting places – some spectacular, some hidden, some loud, some very silent. So which one to choose?

The place I have finally chosen is a kind of metaphor – the Mercato Coperto in Ravenna. Oh yes, there are wonderful churches in Ravenna, wildly beautiful mosaics. But why have I chosen this market? Well, there is nearly the same distance to the wine, the cheese, the fruits, the pasta.
