Over 900 Years of Worship

How often can you visit a place and know that for over 900 years its use has hasn't changed. While the Priory you see has gone through many revisions what hasn't changed is worship, continuing here since 1085.
Of course things haven't always looked like this, the priory started as a more humble affair, a building built for just 30 monks. Over the years it has been altered and extended but if you know where you're looking you'll find roman style pillars and arches from the original building in the middle of the current structure.
Now after over 150 years of restoration, repair, renewal and rebuilding the priory has clearer stained glass windows, replaced floor and ceiling tiles and a rebuilt north porch but this work never ends. It's a wonderful tranquil and peaceful place to visit, one that I never get tired of.
History of Great Malvern Priory
Taken with a Nikon D300 and a Nikkor 10.5mm f/2.8G fisheye lens. Mounted on a Nodal Ninja 5 panorama head and R-D16 rotator atop a Manfrotto 055XPROB tripod. Shots taken at 6 positions 60° apart, tilted 15° down and another shot taken looking straight up. Raw files then processed in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.7 before being stitched together using PTGui 10.0.15 Pro and converted using Pano2VR 6.1 beta3b.
