The only continuity in nature is constant change. However, the climate change is clearly man made and the vanishing glaciers in the alps are a problem among many since they provide drinking water and electric energy.
When I first visited Steingletscher (stone glacier) 20 years ago it reached until the lake you can see through the opening. Now the end is more than a kilometer uphill, only few meters below this viewpoint.
My son currently helps to organize the local Fridays for Future protests. I whish them enough continuity to cause a political change, not only to save the glaciers.
When I shot this panorama I had my ears wide open, listening to any crack in the ice and ready to jump away. Luckily the weather wasn't very warm, and when we walked away not a single piece of ice had fallen.
