This image was taken at the venu of 'The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo' which is located at the esplanade of Edinburgh's castle.

I choose this panorama because of the numbers at the seating areas and because you can see a large number of tourists ;-).

Making Of

The shooting was done with a 3 meter (appx. 10 ft) pole to reach a more elevated viewpoint. The lens was mounted with a custom-made bracket. Stitched from six images taken with a Walimex (Samyang) 7.5mm fish eye lens on a Sony QX1. Five images around (due to the moving people) and an additional image for the nadir. Some minor retouching after stitching in Photoshop.

Lens: Samyang 7mm/3.5 UMC fisheye (lens hood shaved, MFT lens adapted for Sony E-mount)

Mounting: Custom-made lens bracket mounted on top of a 3.10 m (appx. 10 ft) monopod

Software: PTGui Pro, Photoshop CC

5 pictures @ 90° (due to moving people), one downshot, ISO 100
