Cancun es las ciudad en donde se concentran las principales religiones del municipio. Despues de la Iglesia Catolica, las Iglesias Pentecostales sonlas que estan adquiriendo mayor crecimiento.

La primera iglesia catolica establecida, end la ciudad de Cancun fue la iglesia de Guadalupe o parroquia de Guadalupe establecia en la construcciones correspondietes, fue la iglesia catolical de Cristo Rey, ubicada enel parque de Las Palapas en loa supermanzana 22, 1974.

En cuanto al ambito protestante, su primera iglesia fue la iglesia presbiteriana El Divino Maestro de Cancun, establecida sobre la AV Tulum en las supermanzana 64 cerca del Crucero y seguidamente se formo las primera Igesia Pentecostal Templo Monte de Sion de las Asambleas de Dios en la supermanzana 69 antes LLamada Colonia Puerto Juarez ambas en 1972.
