A devastating fire on an August morning left a family of six with their mother, father and younger brother dead. The fire ignited in the flat above their restaurant and spread so quickly that the three sisters just made it out onto an adjoining roof in time. The fire department has not released the cause. Over $100,000 has been raised from our community to help the girls who now reside in Christchurch with their uncle. Rest In Peace.
